We at Howie and Howie have always been committed to relieving our customers of any pressures, enabling them to do their day to day work without having to worry about the details. This is done by sourcing, supplying and delivering, to them, materials required for laboratory testing. These products are mainly sourced from Société Nouvelle du Littoral (SNL), for whom we have been a distributor since 1997.
Our most commonly ordered product is the Cen EN 196.1, ISO 679 standard sand, although BS1881 Part 131 Fractions ‘A’ to ‘E’ and the ASTM C778 Graded or 20/30 sands are also popular. These are all sourced from SNL. We will also research materials from other sources, should they not be available from SNL.
As part of our service, we try to optimise each load so that our customers’ transport costs are kept to a minimum; and we will always give them the benefit of any product and transport price reductions that may occur before the invoice is produced.
Ask any of our customers and you will be told that our service is exemplary.
If you have a need for any test material, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our very best to source it for you - problem free and at a competitive price.
Here are a few kind words from one of our long-standing customers - Dave Watts, Warehouse & Procurement Administrator at PPC, Port Elizabeth, South Africa:
"It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with your company Howie & Howie for over 20 years now ... you have kept up the image and reputation of the Howie & Howie excellence to the level that I have come to know over many years."
It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with your company Howie & Howie for over 20 years now. I dealt with your mother Marjorie for many years and she was one of the dearest of people one would wish to have as a supplier. She was always very friendly, competent, lovely sense of humour, excellent communication skills and she would bend over backwards to consistently provide excellent services to her customers.
I must also say that she has groomed you in very much the same way and she would be very proud of the way you have kept up the image and reputation of the Howie & Howie excellence to the level that I have come to know over many years.
Also, what was very special for me, was to meet you and Mick in person late last year [sic. 2013] where we had lunch together at Blue Waters Café overlooking the beautiful view of Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth.
I really feel so honoured and appreciate that you especially flew down from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth for the day just to meet me and take me to lunch.Dave Watts, Warehouse & Procurement Administrator, PPC, Port Elizabeth, South Africa
